Wood Standard Awareness

At Lindsay Windows, we have noticed that many customers have unrealistically high expectations when purchasing "real" wood products.  Lindsay's woodgrain windows are manufactured with a woodgrain laminate so woodgrain imperfections do not occur. 

Some customers who have ordered bay or bow windows with a stained head or seat board are critical of the different characteristics they see in the wood.  Natural wood comes with color variations, burls, pin knots, mineral streaks, sap, and cross figures. 

Lindsay Windows uses a high grade veneer and each piece is thoroughly inspected.  Few variations occur, but we do want our customers to understrand that they are possible and are not defects.

Bay and Bow Windows

Adding a Lindsay bay or bow window will instantly transform your room.  If you are looking to add elegance, character, value and visual appeal to your home, a new Lindsay bay or bow window is exactly what you are looking for.  Bay and bow windows look exceptional from both the interior and exterior of your home.  You will be able to use the increased space as a cozy reading nook or as a display area for family pictures and keepsakes.  You are also sure to enjoy the natural sunlight let in by your new bay or bow window.

A bay window is a fixed center window with two smaller flanker windows attached on each side at an angle.  A bow window is constructed using 4 r 5 windows joined together forming a gentle curve, or bow shape.  The center units are typically fixed and its sides are usually casements, but can be double-hungs.  The windows used are specific to Healthy, Pinnacle, Earthwise, or custom window line offered by your dealer.
